I...Thank you so much for the great info and photos. I have always loved begonias and usually have one or two hanging around my house! Right now I have an Angel Wing and a couple of those smaller ones that a lot of us buy for a spot of color in the summer. I have always been able to start cuttings from the Angel Wing very easily and quickly just in water. But, not the other smaller ones! (Sorry, I don't know their variety. The label just says "Bada Boom Scarlet". How could I resist?) But, every time I try to start a cutting from these, it either rots in the water or just does nothing in the soil! I was about to give up (which is not my nature at all) when I came across your web site. Now that I have some different pointers and new ideas, I will not be giving up, thanks to you! 😊 and I apologize for writing so much!Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14806220728794326968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23439295647377206.post-85273952295966662052018-02-23T08:47:59.240-08:002018-02-23T08:47:59.240-08:00Hi - I'm back!

They are so easy!
Elizabeth - Where are you cutting the stems now? Is is working for you?
Looking forward to hearing back.
MMolly Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11728709915410641970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23439295647377206.post-62553279078714884392017-10-09T08:00:54.119-07:002017-10-09T08:00:54.119-07:00I always cut mine at a node until A MONTH AGO when...I always cut mine at a node until A MONTH AGO when I read to leave about an inch below each node. Now I am anxious that I have wasted these new cuttings but I will still give them a chance. I have rooted cuttings from earlier so I am not bereft. Thanks for your good explanations and photos.
ElizabethSongLoverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07176852112572626832noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23439295647377206.post-33246889267609625652017-08-05T05:02:40.623-07:002017-08-05T05:02:40.623-07:00Have you ever propagated dragonwing begonias?Have you ever propagated dragonwing begonias?begonia galhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11735434139683378934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23439295647377206.post-92012500269556514432017-08-05T05:02:15.019-07:002017-08-05T05:02:15.019-07:00have you ever done this with dragonwing begonias?have you ever done this with dragonwing begonias?begonia galhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11735434139683378934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23439295647377206.post-797633207367399472015-11-15T10:41:39.920-08:002015-11-15T10:41:39.920-08:00Nodes are where the leaves emerge. Stick them in water that covers the bottom two nodes and change the water regularly.
Plant in sterile potting soil when roots emerge.

Look at the photos here - http://www.bradsbegoniaworld.com/prop.htmMolly Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11728709915410641970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23439295647377206.post-36469855646720041862015-11-14T14:27:14.283-08:002015-11-14T14:27:14.283-08:00Nodes?....Nodes?,...explain nodes, I'm not som...Nodes?....Nodes?,...explain nodes, I'm not some gardening genious but I've got this huge 4 foot baby that grew from a 10 inch dead-ish looking "thing" over the summer and people are screaming for babies off of it.
